KATE Energy’s regional LNG production model takes advantage of the abundant and often shut-in supply of natural gas in northern Canada, which is in close proximity to potential customers. This key component allows for considerable savings on delivery and overall logistics expenses which are often extensive in northern remote regions.

Capitalizing on lower cost, micro and mobile liquefaction technologies, KATE Energy will produce LNG from multiple locations across the North. Given natural gas prices as they are, potential customers could save an average of 15-25% over existing energy based fuels, such as diesel, lowering carbon taxes and contributing to the reduction of COand GHG emissions.

Benefits All Around – from Consumers to Industrial Operators

A more affordable, more reliable and cleaner supply of energy has many potential benefits:  it will save consumers and industrial operators 15-25% on existing power and heating bills and is a real step forward in meeting climate change action goals. These savings directly benefit remote Indigenous and northern communities and would potentially allow for economic development in the form of local jobs and local industrial operations growth. Creation of new sources of revenue and a better quality of life, having more affordable, more reliable and cleaner power and heat is a bonus all around – for communities, for producers and for governments. KATE Energy’s model allows for benefits all around.
